We all have that friend; the one who’s unlucky in love, and as shy as a stray kitten. Everyone except Ann is that friend. Technology has come a long way and getting a date doesn’t require small talk anymore, just one quick swipe on the phone. ‘Match’ is an original play following Ann’s journey as she struggles with dating through technology while surrounded by unsavory friends, awkward co-workers and deceiving dates. Bad advice, strong drinks and poor timing don’t help either… but sometimes the wrong directions can lead you where you need to be.
This fun filled comedy written and directed by Hazel Doolan was the first production by Eva’s Echo Theatre Company as part of the Galway Fringe Festival 2017. The creators of Match received the Galway Fringe Best Emerging Artists Award 2017.
